Source: wndu.com 7/2/25

GOSHEN, Ind. (WNDU) – Protestors rallied outside of the Elkhart County Courthouse in downtown Goshen on Wednesday afternoon to call for stricter penalties for child sex offenders and show their support for a man who is charged with murdering a sex offender last week at an Elkhart motel.

35-year-old Nicholas Stanley is accused of killing 35-year-old Allen Cogswell back on June 24 at the Daylite Inn on Cassopolis Street.

Protestors also held up signs that said things like, “Free Nic” and “Nick Stanley Doesn’t Deserve Jail.”

Anyone remember the “Free Hat!” South Park episode?

Well we need to show up too with some signs of our own. Despicable.

Trailer park mentality.

I believe in stricter laws for those who murder someone all because they are on the registry. Says more about them than the PFR.

Those bikers are sickos that don’t respect the rule of law. I wonder how much illegal activity have they done in their lifetime? If you put all those knuckleheads together, their rap sheet is likely longer than the Mississippi.

In these days of vigilantism being condoned by the President, why does this not surprise me. Let them protest, then petition to have judge removed if the verdict is not to their liking. The hens will come home to roost for many of the protesters when a friend , family member or even themselves get caught up in a sex offense. It isn’t that hard these days ya know. Then they will be screaming for protection from those same people.

IMO. Every one of those protesters should get the same results as the murdered registrant. There’s no such thing as educating anyone in any state. Trust me on that one. I believe an eye for an eye. But, sometimes you have to make an example of something or someone to show your messing with the wrong person and or people.

Obviously, the victim was tracked via the registry and then executed.

I do hope ACSOL and Janice are collecting all these evidences that the registry was used in targeted murders. And that the state and SCOTUS are the accomplices.

Compound that with protesters agreeing with the execution by a vigilante after the victim paid their dues to society, the state and SCOTUS failed their job of protecting all citizens.
